Uh yeah, so we're recording this a little early. We still have a few episodes uh in the can, as it were. This will run. So we'll we'll you're hearing this probably the end of July, maybe even early August, if I have a clue about what my scheduling is. Uh things have been a little funky the last little little while. What are we doing?

Over the summer, well, we just some of us just got back not long ago from the Spanish River trip. And uh we are going in August to North Frontenac for a backcountry trip.

Dehydrated Food Menu And Prep

like that. Uh I'm actually just just finished prepping. I have to double check what we have in stock, but I finished just finished dehydrating uh some shrimps, some scallops, some vegetables, some fruits. Pamela's made a whole got a whole menu for us for six days. I think it's six days worth of menu. Uh yeah, looking forward to

Barren Canyon Retry And Yukon Dreaming

that. The big kid and I are doing a trip to Barren Canyon. Uh third times the charm. Tried to do it twice so far. Uh once, once it went in the toilet because of a scheduling issue, and then once it went oh, this past year, uh uh 2025, it went in the toilet because he got sick like three days before we went to go or something like that. So fingers crossed for September this year. Uh, I think we've got an eight-day schedule in there, and uh I'm currently in the early stages of planning a trip uh into the Yukon next year. Um not at all sure. Well I'm probably looking at sort of two weeks kind of a deal, but a big long, big long Epic adventure. Epic adventure. Do it do it while I still can and while the kid or kids are still interested in doing it with me. So yeah, that's that's sort of the wrap-up for this

season, I guess. We had some some great guests. Uh, I hope you've enjoyed the episodes. Um we certainly had uh uh a ton of fun uh yakking with folks. I always do, but family seem to enjoy some of them too. Um we've got uh next season, which will start in September. Um the our first guest is uh Ryan Marshall. Uh he's a he's a bush craft craft and uh survival expert. He he disagrees. Um but yeah, tune in for that because it uh that was a really cool yak with him.

Your Softwater Plans And How To Reach Us

Don't know. Uh we'd love to hear what your plans are for this softwater season. Uh if you're doing front country, if you're doing some back country, maybe you're just getting out in a conservation area for a day. I don't know. What uh what are you planning to get up to?
